This site is an inspiration from my Grand
father and Guru Late Pundit Maganlal Devshanker Shastriji --
Yajurvedacharya (from Lolasan, Gujarat. A small town very
close to Himatnagar and Idar. We are Audichya brahmins from
Idar Audichya sattavis gyanti pragati mandal). I learned a
lot from him and this is a small effort to pay tribute to
him. I know I'll never be able to payback what I learnt from
him. I have learnt Sri Yajur veda, Pooja and homa vidhanam,
astrology, along with graha-laghava, keshavi system from
him. I acquired Druka Ganita Knowledge from my other gurus
whom my grand father knew. I am also an author of nakshatra
astrology software (dos based), which was being distributed
with Mr. Vijay Mukhi's Computer Institute, later it was
distributed freely. This site is an effort to take nakshatra
software further but with web-based interface but using
NASA's high precision DE405 JPL ephemeris.
We started this site with panchangam(s) of couple of cities
(Seattle, Bombay, Madrid-Iowa -- I live in Seattle, grew up
in Bombay and a friend's brother who lives in Madrid as a
priest in a temple) and in very short time (couple of
months) we got very good response so we have now more than
310+ cities. Thank you for your emails and support. Please
note that all panchangam(s) appeared here are calculated after
receiving feedback from our readers. Even if you have a
special project and need the data in different format (XML
for example) other than html please let us know and we'll do
needful. If you are a temple or Hindu organization and need
to use these data for your website go ahead and use it.
However, we request to give us credit on your website but
its not a requirement. We'll appreciate if you drop a note
if you are using the data on your website with your link so
we get some extra energy to add more features.
